What is marketing assurance?

While there are a few companies that don’t need marketing (like Henry the Hoover), the vast majority do. The problem with marketing is there are a lot of different ways to go about it, what you need to do know is which is the best for your company?

For many, and we’ve seen it a lot, will have this single determination that they need to be active on social media, and while that may work for some, it wont for others. Other companies will be sold on the idea that SEO ranking is king and they simply cannot survive without being number one on Google year round.

If you get hoodwinked into believing on a tactic before gaining some proper contextual understanding of whether these would work for you may find that they fail to deliver the returns you’d expect. We don’t mean to say that you’re doing it wrong, you may have the perfect implementation plan with your perfect campaign, but fundamentally if the tactic is wrong for your company you will not get the awareness or leads you crave.

What you need to do is take a step back and think

This is where marketing assurance (and us by the way) come in. We believe there are four key attributes to good marketing, and they are:

  1. What is your company about?
  2. What does your product do, or what service do you provide?
  3. Who are the people you are trying to sell to?
  4. Who are you competing against?

It’s as simple as that.

What we do, and what marketing assurance is, is to delve into these four areas and draw out the answers from you, your team, and the industry, to build a complete picture of your company, your audience, and the industry you play in.

Through the process of building this picture it will become apparent how you should be engaging with your audience to ensure you get your message across, this could be either through inbound or outbound marketing, or a combination of both. It could include SEO, Social Media, event participation, sponsorship opportunities, email campaigns, or another tactic. But rarely will it be just one course of action.
